Trace Bothell Street Directory

To search Bothell streets by address, first learn which county keeps the parcel. The Bothell street directory task is unusual because one city spans two counties, each with its own assessor, map, recorder, and elections office. County parcel reports connect a street address to an owner and legal description. Recorded deeds extend that ownership trail, while voter records and older reverse directories can add evidence of residency. No single source lists every person in a home. A careful search compares several public records, respects protected addresses, and treats an owner name or mailing address as evidence rather than proof of who currently lives there.

Walk a Bothell Street Directory

A street search works best as a chain, not as one query. Start with the exact address and use Bothell's City County Map to decide whether King County or Snohomish County holds the record. That choice controls every later step. An assessor report names the tax-roll owner, while the map shows the parcel among nearby lots. A deed index then connects that owner to recorded instruments. Public voter data or a reverse directory may support residency, but neither creates a full household list.

  1. Confirm the address, city limits, and county. A Bothell postal label alone does not settle jurisdiction.
  2. Open the matching county parcel map. Select the lot and follow its link to the assessor report.
  3. Record the owner, situs address, mailing address, parcel number, and legal description without treating them as interchangeable.
  4. Search the matching recorder by owner, parcel, legal description, or date to build the deed chain.
  5. Use lawful voter data and KCLS reverse-directory material only as added evidence of who used the address.

This Bothell street directory method also exposes conflicts. A mailing address may belong to an owner who lives elsewhere. A parcel can carry a legal description that survives a later change in street naming. Keep a citation, date, and record number for every match so another researcher can repeat the work.

Split Bothell Streets by County

Bothell crosses the King and Snohomish county line. Even neighboring parcels can require different records offices. The city map is therefore the first address tool, while USPS data is only a delivery clue. On the King side, use King County Parcel Viewer and eReal Property. On the Snohomish side, use Property Summary Search and SCOPI.

A city-limit check prevents a common error: sending a request to the office that serves the mailing city but not the parcel. The county also selects the recorder, elections office, archive, and older-record fallback. This geographic split makes a Bothell street directory more exact when each address is tagged with its county before names are collected.

County first. A Bothell postal address does not by itself prove city limits, county, situs, or legal parcel identity.

Search Bothell Parcels by Address

King County Parcel Viewer accepts an address, parcel number, or condominium name. Its selected parcel links to eReal Property and district or development reports. Snohomish Property Summary Search accepts a parcel or a house number with street name. The separate static tax search also supports taxpayer, property-address, and mailing-address modes.

The viewer supplies geographic context, but its lot lines are approximate. Use the assessor report, recorded plat, and legal description when the boundary itself matters.

Bothell Records Indexed by Street

Each address-keyed source answers a different question. The property roll identifies an owner for tax purposes. GIS locates that parcel. Recorded instruments document transfers and claims. City files can reveal work tied to the site. Voter information has strict field and use limits, so it should never be presented as a complete list of residents.

The parcel number is the best bridge between the map, tax roll, recorded plat, and many permits. Street spelling remains valuable for voter and reverse-directory work. Together, both keys reduce false matches.

Follow Bothell Deeds by Street

Neither county recorder offers a simple street-address field. Begin with the assessor's owner and parcel details. King County Landmark searches name, document, book and page, consideration, parcel ID, date range, recording number, legal description, and Torrens records. Name format is Last, First. Parcel searches use the first ten digits and generally reach 1997 forward, while most recorded documents are online from August 1, 1991.

Snohomish County Recorded Documents searches name, document type, recording number, date, parcel ID, book and page, and legal description. Most online coverage begins in July 1976. A free account has been required since March 2, 2026. Search deeds, easements, liens, plats, surveys, and reconveyances, then open details and preview when available.

The screen illustrates why an owner name, parcel number, and legal description should be saved before leaving the assessor report. Those fields unlock searches that an address alone cannot run.

Older Bothell Street Records

The online cutoff is not the start of the record. King County material before August 1, 1991 is commonly researched on microfilm at King County Archives. Its research room offers appointment access, remote reference, and series-specific copy rules. Puget Sound Regional Archives holds some older assessment cards, real-property files, and historic house photographs.

Snohomish material before July 1976 calls for the public terminals in Everett, staff-assisted microfilm, or a written search and copy request. The Recording Division is open weekdays and advises allowing time for counter work. A substantial staff search is listed at $8 per hour, while public-record copies are generally $1 per page. Verify the current copy schedule before ordering.

These two cutoffs are a useful numbers story for Bothell. An empty web result may mean the street record is older than the portal, not that no instrument exists. Note: Record the county and online cutoff beside every negative result before moving to microfilm or archive staff.

Decode Bothell Address Records

Several labels recur across the Bothell street directory. Define them before comparing records, because a familiar word may have a narrow records meaning.

Parcel
A tax and mapping unit identified by a county number. It is not proof of a surveyed boundary.
Situs address
The physical property address. It may differ from the owner's mailing address.
Plat
A recorded map that divides land into lots, blocks, roads, or tracts.
Criss-cross directory
A directory arranged by street and house number instead of only by surname.

A legal description may remain stable when a street address changes. Save lot, block, subdivision, parcel number, and recording reference whenever they appear. Those details keep the trail intact across old maps and indexes.

Bothell Permits by Street Address

King property reports can link recent permits. City-held permits, code records, maps, and related correspondence may require a narrower request. Bothell's Customer Action Request form accepts an address, parcel, or location and routes issues such as streets, utilities, traffic, nuisance property, and building code. The submitted form is a clue, not a resident roll.

For records behind a permit or code matter, use the City of Bothell public records process. Identify the department, address, parcel, date range, and record type. The city routes requests through GovQA, while the Public Records Officer assists people who cannot use the portal. Inspection is free. Published city fees include page, scan, file-delivery, storage-media, and postage charges.

Named applicants may be owners, contractors, agents, or complainants. Their appearance does not prove residence. Compare the file date and role with the assessor report before adding a person to a by-address research note.

Bothell Voter Records by Street

Washington MyVote helps an individual review registration and election information. The broader voter-file route is controlled by state law and county elections offices. Public fields under RCW 29A.08.710 can include name, address, jurisdiction, gender, birth year, voting record, registration date, and registration number. Washington does not register voters by party.

Full birth dates, Social Security numbers, and driver-license or state-ID data stay confidential. Address Confidentiality Program participants use a substitute address where protection applies. A voter entry supports a limited fact on a stated date. It does not reveal every adult, child, owner, guest, or unregistered person at an address.

For a formal file, use the state or relevant county request process and state the permitted purpose. Historical voter materials may instead require county elections staff, Washington State Archives, or a public-records request.

Reverse Bothell Street Directories

KCLS identifies an early-1970s Polk Seattle North Suburban directory as an in-library reverse-address lead at Bellevue. The exact volume and year should be confirmed with staff. Search regional titles such as North Suburban rather than assuming every useful book says Bothell on its cover. Once the street section gives a surname, check the alphabetical section for initials, occupation, spouse notation, and abbreviation meaning.

The Bothell branch offers a microfilm and microfiche reader, scanner, computers, and staff access to local resources. Its Bothell Sentinel and Citizen archive adds dates and context. For full treatment of the historical shelf, use the Bothell city directory collections; the street method here stays focused on reverse lookup.

A criss-cross listing is an address snapshot from its publication date. A missing name may reflect a publication gap, move, unlisted household, or title variation. Transcribe the title, year, page, and address exactly.

Limits of Bothell Street Lookups

A property owner is not necessarily an occupant. Mailing and situs addresses can differ, and a deed party may have signed years before the current search. Public voter data omits confidential fields and protected addresses. Driver records and utility customer details are not substitutes for a public household directory. Children, guests, unregistered voters, and many renters may leave no public address-keyed trace.

Use a street directory for family history, parcel research, an estate question, civic review, or another lawful personal purpose. Date each finding and verify it with the office that holds the record. When the task shifts from an address to one named person, the Bothell resident lookup workflow shows how to compare identity across official indexes.

Lawful use. Never use Bothell address records to stalk, harass, threaten, or expose a protected person.
